Artefacts and services left behind after uninstallation, CC Cleaner broken

I installed a trial of Adobe DC which I have since uninstalled, but there are still several artifacts left behind including a startup service called AdobeCollabSync and Adobe folders in Program Files etc.

I tried to use the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool which exits after a few seconds when Run as Administrator through Explorer. Running it in an administrator command prompt spits out the follow trace:

C:\Users\snip\Downloads\AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool_Win>".\AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool (3).exe" Traceback (most recent call last): File "<string>", line 237, in <module> File "C:\cbs2.0\proj_scripts\CC18\iu.py", line 436, in importHook File "C:\cbs2.0\proj_scripts\CC18\iu.py", line 521, in doimport File "C:/builds/CleanerTool/CC18/source\CleanerTool\win\source\out\build\pyi.win32\ACToolMain\outPYZ1.pyz/sqlite3", line 24, in <module> File "C:\cbs2.0\proj_scripts\CC18\iu.py", line 436, in importHook File "C:\cbs2.0\proj_scripts\CC18\iu.py", line 521, in doimport File "C:/builds/CleanerTool/CC18/source\CleanerTool\win\source\out\build\pyi.win32\ACToolMain\outPYZ1.pyz/sqlite3.dbapi2", line 27, in <module> File "C:\cbs2.0\proj_scripts\CC18\iu.py", line 436, in importHook File "C:\cbs2.0\proj_scripts\CC18\iu.py", line 505, in doimport File "C:\cbs2.0\proj_scripts\CC18\iu.py", line 297, in getmod File "C:\cbs2.0\proj_scripts\CC18\iu.py", line 109, in getmod ImportError: DLL load failed: Invalid access to memory location.

Any advice on how to totally rid my system of Adobe?

Hello,

I know it's years later, but I'm having the exact same problem, and cannot find this specific issue referenced anywhere else. Did you ever find a solution?

Unfortunately not 😞 I backed up my data and performed a Windows Reset, then swore never to install an Adobe product again.

Hi @defaultgqgo1fldjdz4 @isaacking,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for your experience!

I would suggest running the Acrobat Cleaner tool to do so.

Please run the Acrobat cleaner tool https://adobe.ly/4cXAhAH, reboot the computer once.

Let me know if this works.
