Assistance Needed with Adobe Acrobat Issue

Hi Adobe Community,

I’m currently experiencing an issue with Adobe Acrobat. I received an error message stating:

“Acrobat could not open 'Document2.log' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).”

This issue only occurs when I try to print from Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc. I understand that to create an Adobe PDF document, I should go to the source application and print the document to Adobe PDF. However, I’m looking for further guidance on how to handle this issue.

I would appreciate any advice or solutions from the community. Thank you in advance for your help!

Hi @GET34256290wysm,

Hope you are doing well. Sorry for the trouble.

We were aware of this issue, and a fix was released with the last release. Would you mind updating the app to the latest version (24.004.202xx)?

You can do that by going to Menu-> Help-> Check for Updates.

If that does not work, you might want to try the steps mentioned here: Troubleshoot Acrobat PDFMaker issues in Microsoft Office on Windows (https://adobe.ly/3A8yTOA).

Hope this helps.

We need a fix for this.  I don't have time to search kbs for a fix to an Adobe issue.  I pay for Adobe Acrobat and have for many years.  I tried to call for support and was told that the Acrobat team only works weekdays.
