Was ist da passiert? seit einigen Tagen werden unsere PDFs fehlerhaft ausgedruckt. Es werden alle Umlaute und Sonderzeichen durch quadratische Zeichen ersetzt. Wo ist der Fehler???

Vielen lieben Dank!

@SENECTUTE 24 that's a font issue! The most frequent reason for this problem is that the fonts containing the umlauts and special characters are not properly embedded within the PDF document itself. If a font isn't embedded, the printer or the viewing software tries to substitute it with a similar font available on its system. If it can't find a suitable match, or if the substitution font doesn't contain those specific characters, they appear as "tofu" (the square boxes). Even if the font is embedded, sometimes a "subset" of the font is embedded, and if the specific characters aren't in that subset, they can disappear. Or it could be an updated printer driver too. I use an Epson printer, and I swear, they must update once a month! An outdated, corrupted, or incompatible printer driver can misinterpret the font information sent from Adobe Acrobat. Even if the PDF has the fonts correctly embedded, the driver might fail to send that data to the printer correctly, leading to the substitution. Double chck and update that printer driver!
