Auto update a field without clicking the field

Hi,

Thank you so much for your help!

So I have set up a validation script that a dropdown will populate 3 fields, it is just that the change happens only when you click into the field that is being populated. It should update the field on mouse-up when the dropdown item is selected. Is there an option to fix it?

In the dropdown field properties -> options tab tick 'Commit selected value immediately'.

Just like Bernd said,

right click the field and select properties. Click on the Options tab check the box that says, "Commit selected value immediately". Do this and the value will change right away.
