Autocad SHX File search path

Convert to PDF Autodesk AutoCAD settings.  The SHX Font File search path will not take.  I can browse to the location but it will not save the location.  When I convert autoCAD to PDF the fonts are not correct.  We have several computers in the office.  This is happening on a couple of them, while the other computers work fine.
