Automatic Background Modifications in Acrobat Pro

We are a subscribed user of Adobe Acrobat Pro. However, we are experiencing a critical issue. Whenever we open any PDF file, the program automatically makes hidden background modifications—without displaying any indication of what changes were made. When closing the file, Acrobat asks whether we want to save the changes, even though we did not make any edits. We have searched extensively online for solutions and found only the option to disable Automatic OCR. Despite disabling this feature, the problem persists, and Acrobat continues to perform unknown modifications as soon as a file is opened. This is extremely disruptive to our workflow, and we require an immediate solution. The software is updated to the latest version, yet the issue persists.Please advise on how to fully stop any automatic background edits when opening PDF files.

Hi, @tayyar_services, I am not sure I can help you with your specific issue, but I might be able to provide a clue for you to work with. If I open an image in Photoshop and resave the image in some other format (JPG, PSD, whatever), when I close that image, I'm asked if I wish to save the changes. This, despite not having made a change to a single pixel.

This issue has been present in Photoshop since I started using it with version 5.

I use PDFs daily, and I really can't tell you I've been plagued by this issue or not because I'm so used to this issue in Photoshop that I might be numb to it.

If you're able to track it down to a non-issue, when you are presented with a request to save the changes, you could then simply tap the "No" key.

But again, I am guessing this answer.
