Question

Automatically import created Actions into Adobe Acrobat

I have a folder with several actions and I need to configure several computers importing adobe actions.

I know how to make a batch script to copy from my pendrive to the default actions folder: \AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Acrobat\DC\Sequences

But that's not enough. I need to change something so that Adobe starts recognizing the actions.

Hi @PEDRO HENRIQU31750903h6na

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

To automatically import actions into Adobe Acrobat, you can follow these general steps:

  1. Create Your Actions: First, create the actions you want to import in Adobe Acrobat. Actions in Acrobat are a series of steps that can be recorded and applied to multiple PDF files.

  2. Export Actions: To export your actions for use on other computers or to share with others, you can follow these steps:

    a. Open Adobe Acrobat.

    b. Go to the "Tools" menu.
    c. Under the "Action Wizard" section, click on "Manage Actions."
    d. In the Manage Actions dialog box, select the actions you want to export.
    e. Click the "Export" button and choose a location to save the action file.
  3. Import Actions: To import actions on another computer or share them with others, you can use the following steps:

    a. Open Adobe Acrobat on the target computer.
    b. Go to the "Tools" menu.
    c. Under the "Action Wizard" section, click on "Manage Actions."
    d. In the Manage Actions dialog box, click the "Import" button.
    e. Browse to the location where you saved the action file and select it.
    f. Click "Open" to import the actions.

  4. Use Imported Actions: Once the actions are imported, you can use them by selecting one or more PDF files and applying the imported actions from the Action Wizard panel.
