Automatically paste highlighted text into a comment
I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro version 2024.002.208517. I often read long PDFs and want to be able to highlight passages and have the highlighted text automatically copied into the comment that is created. That way I can just read through the comments later to see the highlights. On my previous computer I was able to do this. However, since I obtained a new computer, this is not working: when I highlight text, it creates a comment that has nothing in it ("Add a comment..."). Obviously I can do the work of copying and pasting each time, but that is inefficient. I still have access to my old laptop and compared the settings and they are identical; notably, the seemingly most obvious preference, "Copy selected text into Highlight ... comment pop-ups," is checked.
Is there some other way to do this, or is this a glitch on the current build?
