Best product?

Hi there,

We require a converter from .pdf to Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher.  We are a small non-profit organization using PC towers currently, but would like a program that could grow with us so we can use another platform (e.g. mobile device) in the not-too-distant future.

What would be the best Adobe product to purchase for this application?

Correct answer Test Screen Name

You first need to realize that converting PDF to editable formats is rarely a nice simple task, even though software tries. PDF files are really unsuitable for this purpose, and you should try very hard NOT to get into this situation. For example, if it was made originally in Publisher, work very hard to keep that PUB file until you need to edit it again.

That said, ExportPDF will do Word and Excel, of sorts.PDF Pack is that plus PowerPoint.

Forget Publisher, I think.

And I should add Acrobat, a local app rather than a service. Which can do that AND help you convert TO PDF for some files, and do some very simple edits, and much more.
