Black PDF thumbnails on desktop - Windows 11

Since updating to Windows 11, I am finding more and more issues with thumbnails for certain programs.

The one I am currently dealing with is PDFs.

I want to see the PDF preview...not the icon.  I have already turned the thumbnail feature on.  It works for some PDFs, but not all.

For the most part, the PDFs show on the desktop as black squares.  But if I view it in a folder, I can successfully see the preview.

What else can I do to fix this bug, so that I can see the PDF PREVIEW on the desktop please?

In the screen shot attached, 2 of the 3 PDFs in question are black.  The one preview on the bottom, comes and goes as black and then to preview.  So I don't know what is going on, but it is driving me mad.

Thanks in advance.

Rebecca

Hi,

I don't know of a specific Adobe Acrobat issue, but I have had to do this in the past - https://www.thewindowsclub.com/icons-turn-black-in-windows-10
