Blurry scanned ID in Adobe Acrobat for NBI appointment documents?

Hi, I’m preparing my documents for an NBI online appointment, and I noticed that my scanned ID looks a bit blurry when viewed in Adobe Acrobat. Since these documents are used for verification, I want to make sure everything is clear and acceptable.

I scanned it using my phone, but the text and photo still don’t look sharp enough after opening the file. I also checked some details about NBI clearance requirements but still want to know if Acrobat has any option to improve scan quality.

Are there any recommended settings (resolution, format, etc.) to make documents more readable for verification?

If the scan is blurry at the source, Acrobat usually can’t recover details that weren’t captured clearly. I’d rescan the ID at around 300–600 DPI, keep the original scan rather than repeatedly compressing it, and use PDF or a high-quality image format. Good lighting and keeping the phone steady can make a bigger difference than Acrobat adjustments. For verification documents, I’d also check the NBI’s current submission requirements to make sure the final format and file size are acceptable.
