Bookmarks missing`

For the second time in a week all the bookmarks are missing from a file.  Used the file not 2 hours ago and all is was good.  Now I open the file and maybe 10% of the bookmarks show but all of the hieracrchy is gone andf they are completely useless.  

 

Have opened other files and the bookmarsk are ok.  Running trhe latest DCPro 2023.003.20244 and Mac OS 13.4.1.

 

I am hot because this has occurred after Adobe has increased the price by 33%!!!!!  I decided to stay with Adobe for Acrobat instead of changing to a competing app.  May have to revisit.

 

Enough of my rant - hopefully someone has some suggestion as to get all of these bookmarks back.

When you give a bookmark an alternative text in InDesign, the bookmark is gone in Acrobat. Everyday another error

How are you making the bookmarks?

With the Bookmarks panel, or with the Table of Contents utilitly?

What you have described above is not because of the change in price or any account issue. It could be because of the problematic file or the application itself.

 

Looking at the description, it looks like this is the only file causing trouble. Have you created this PDF with bookmarks using Acrobat, or was it received from some other source?

If this file is saved on a cloud storage or an email attachment, save it locally on your computer first, then open. 

Can you share this file with us for testing?
