Bookmarks not working in Adobe Acrobat XI Pro

I have a document that has bookmarks in it (hundreds) and I see the bookmarks on the bookmark tab and they appear to be correct but when I double click, the bookmarks don't go anywhere. I check the bookmark properties and under Select Action is "execute a menu item" and under Actions is "Go to a page in this document" and a destination name with number so it looks correct to me but nothing is happening. Any guidance?
