Question

Bookmarks transferring

When converting a word document to a pdf via Adobe, the bookmarks (generated from the headings) are transferring over and changing so every letter is capitalized. I have checked the navigation pane and they are all in Word as a capital then lowercase (e.g. Example), but when I convert to pdf and look at my bookmarks, they have all changed to all capitals (e.g. EXAMPLE). I am not sure if this is a random setting or what is going on, but was hoping someone may know how to fix it so it does not continue to occur? Or, if there is a quick fix to change them back to the correct format in Adobe?
Thank you.

Hi Megan2986048814il,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the delay in response.

Please confirm if the issue occurred with this particular file or with others.

If the issue occurs with the particular PDF, share the Word and converted PDF files. We will try to replicate the behavior.

Also, confirm if you are using the inbuilt Acrobat ribbon in the Word application or creating PDF from the Acrobat application. Share the Acronat and OS version numbers.

You may also refer to the following help document for more information on creating PDFs: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/creating-simple-pdfs-acrobat.html

Thanks,

Meenakshi
