Lag when annotating PDFs: 

Please ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat installed on the machine: 24.005.20320. Planned update, Dec 10, 2024. Check for any pending updates from the Menu > help > check for updates, install the updates, restart the app and the machine, and check.

For testing purposes, please disable the Enhanced Security once in the Acrobat's Preferences, and try annotating the PDF. Navigate to Menu > Preferences > Security (enhanced) > Uncheck the "Enhanced Security" Click OK, restart the app. 

Please enable the Enhanced security after the test.

Is it lagging while commenting to a specific PDF or is it with all the PDFs? Large or complex PDFs can cause lag. Try optimizing your PDF by reducing its size or simplifying its content. You can find more details on optimizing PDFs here.
