@mimick88 Is it really Adobat Pro or Reader?

The "Create PDF" function from within Microsoft Word uses a specific Adobe add-in to convert the Word document into a PDF. This add-in is a separate component from the main Acrobat application. After an update, this add-in can sometimes become corrupted, disabled, or incompatible with the new version of Acrobat, causing it to fail on specific tasks like converting hyperlinks.

Personally, I don't use Word all the time...so, I have no idea how to fix this on Microsoft Word side! Sorry. Maybe, someone else does here?

You should be able to log into your Adobe account and download older, supported versions of their applications, but with a major caveat....Adobe's policy is to provide access to older versions, but typically only the last few major releases that are still considered "supported." For example, if the current version is 2025, they might still provide access to 2024 and 2023. This allows users to maintain project compatibility if they're working with a team on an older version.

If it's Adobe Reader

Hi @mimick88

In addition to the suggestions suggested by @creative explorer

Would you please share the PDF file with us? Or a sample file if the existing file contains confidential or personal information.

I don't see this issue reproducible at our end.
