Your company no longer sells Adobe PDF iFilter 9.

Can I use it in my company?

I don't want to make works for sale, I just want to speed up the indexing function of Windows.

I hope someone can provide an answer, thanks!

Hi @aaron_9798,

Thanks for your question.

We understand you’re considering the use of Adobe PDF iFilter 9 in your environment. While the product is technically still downloadable, please note that:

  • Adobe PDF iFilter 9 is no longer supported, and updates, patches, or security fixes are not provided.

  • It may not be compatible with modern platforms, and using it could introduce security or indexing issues, especially in enterprise environments.

If your organization still chooses to use version 9, please be aware that it will be used at your own risk and without official support.

Hello @aaron_9798

I hope you are doing well, and we are sorry for the delayed response.

In addition to what the Adobe employee has already shared, if it is available for use, you can use it at your own risk, as Adobe PDF iFilter 9 is no longer supported: Adobe has discontinued updates, patches, and security fixes for this version. While the software may still be downloadable and functional, Adobe makes it clear that any continued use is unsupported and may pose compatibility or security risks, especially in enterprise environments.

I hope this information helps.

Thanks,

Anand Sri.
