Can comments on document be re-identified once deleted?

My colleague made some confidential comments on a document which I resolved (accepted or deleted) and then I shared this document. Can those comments be reidentified/found by the recipient?

Did you delete them, or just mark them as accepted? If the latter, then probably, yes. If the former it's much more difficult, although not always impossible.
