Question

Can I add crop marks to multiple PDFs?

I have hundreds of PDF files currently all the same dimension. Each PDF file is named with the form number on the art.

Is there an automated method of opening each PDF, adding crop marks (and thus increasing the page size to compensate), saving each PDF with a suffix and closing them?

Thank you very much for any assistance!

I am still looking for a solution.

Actions needed:

Open PDF

Add crop/trim marks

Increase page size

Save and Close PDF

Cropping is an action in the Edit PDF tool. This tool or its action is available to Acrobat's JavaScript and with Acrobat Pro one can create a custom Action to crop the pages of a folder of PDF files. The Actions manager actually has the crop tool within the available tools that can be added under the Pages section.

And that what the "Action" tool of Acrobat Professional can do. Of course one needs to properly set the action to either select the multiple files to process or the folder of PDF files to process.
