Can I edit documents in Adobe?

Really, really hard to figure out how to do simple tasks. Are there usable instructions anywhere?

Adobe is a company with many products. What exact Adobe application are you referring to, what type of documents do you want to edit, and how do you want to edit them?

Same question. I want to edit a PDF. Nothing complex, but need instructions go to whoa (how to change italic to regular; how to amend text but leave correction on page for author to view, etc. Is there an instruction book for editing PDFs.

PDF files were really not meant to be edited in this way, and doing so is a bad idea.

You can try the Edit Text tool in Acrobat, but again, it's not recommended.
