Can I restrict editing outside of the form fields while leaving the fillable form fields editable?

I am drawing up a contract with fillable form fields, but I want to restrict editing so that no one can alter the contents of the contract outside of the fillable form fields. How can this be achieved?

Your best option is to certify the contract with a digital signature. When the contract can be verified at a later time to ensure it hasn't changed.

It looks like I can restrict editing in the "Edit PDF" options and create a password to lock others out, while still allowing fillable form fields to be filled out without the password.
