Question

Can no longer print PDFs from Acrobat

When trying to print a PDF from Acrobat Reader DC or Acrobat Reader XI, regardless of printer selected, I get a pop-up window labeled
Progress
Printing: Documentname.pdf: 0%

and it just hangs there.  I have to kill the Acrobat Reader process and then if I try to print, it hangs up in the same spot again.

I have repaired, uninstalled, reinstalled, uninstalled and installed Reader XI, tried different printers, different PDF files, nothing seems to help, and this worked fine earlier.

Hi Shivam,

It seems that only the disable of the print rendering option already resolves the problem, especially with one of the co-workers who encountered the problem. I'll keep this in mind, if the problem is not resolved completely, I will respond again.

Thanks,

Jeffrey

Hi ryanw59884615,

Could you please try changing following setting and see if that works:

Launch Reader>click Edit>Preferences>select Security(Enhanced)>uncheck the box "Enable Enhanced Mode at startup">OK

Relaunch Reader and then try to print.

Please note: Disabling Protected Mode is only for troubleshooting purpose. Please enable the feature back on after troubleshooting is complete.

Could you please let me know the version of Reader DC/ Reader XI installed on the machine?

Which Operating System you have on the machine?

Are you able to print from other applications?

Hi Adobe,

We also experience this problem. We use Windows Server 2016 RDS.

After turning off Security (Enhanced) we will get the print job screen but nothing will print.

When we give the user a new windows userprofile, the problem has been fixed we print a PDF, but after a few weeks the problem returns.

Is there a solution here?

Please help!
