Can not install latest adobe update

I am trying to update acrobat by checking for updates in acrobat. The process keeps hanging when it reaches file msvcp140_atomic_wall.dll. I also tried the offline installer and get stuck in the same place. How do I get around this?

It's a part of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable packages. Acrobat needs these packages to run, and the installer is getting stuck because it can't find or properly install one of these dependencies. Either manually install or repair the required Microsoft component.

It's okay now. Thhe update took a very long time to run in general but it is now complete. Why it hesitated there I can not explain. No corrupted files per sfc scannow. and dism.
