Can't activate my Acrobat Pro DC subscription for Windows 7 Professional

I just purchased my subscription for Adobe Pro DC this week and the subscription is showing up on my account.

I was unaware that I downloaded the CC version of Acrobat at first and started a free trial. When I would try to activate my subscription is kept prompting me to put in my serial number.  The little info bubble said that the subscription service does not have a serial number and I need to download the correct one so I uninstalled CC and acrobat.

I went to my adobe account and downloaded the Adobe Acrobat Pro DC from the link it gave me on my account page.

After downloading, it was still on the trial version and when I went to activate it it asked me to put in the serial number again.

I have uninstalled & reinstalled, logged in & logged out multiple times and nothing seems to work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

delete your Adobe PCD folder and SLStore folders*

clean per Download Adobe Reader and Acrobat Cleaner Tool - Adobe Labs

download and install the cc desktop app from here, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud

sign in to your cc app using the same adobe id used to pay for your subscription (gear icon>preferences>general>sign in

install your acrobat dc subscription using the cc desktop app
