Question

Can't copy/paste comments from one pdf to another

This functionality comes and goes, but as of the past few days it's completely stopped working for me. I used to be able to add a text comment to one PDF, and then copy/paste it to another PDF. I add notes to 100s of signed documents at a time so I can't edit them -- I really need this comment functionality!!!

Any way to fix this issue? Or bring this ability back???

I've had the same thing happen with multiple different PDF files recently (past few weeks).  Never used to be an issue.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out. We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with copy/paste of text comments.

What happens when you try to copy/paste text comments? Do you get any error message? If yes, please share the screenshot of the same for more clarity.

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with different PDF files and check.

What is the version of the Acrobat application and the OS you are using? To check the version of the app go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure its updated to the latest version 25.01.20521 go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once and see if that works.

It happens intermittently and there's no error message. It seems like there is something wrong with cache/storage. I did an uninstall/reinstall on 6/5 and now today it is giving me the same issue. The app is laggy and I can't copy/paste text boxes

Hi @allison_1061 ,

Could you please share the OS and Acrobat version (as requested earlier by Amal), along with the Acrobat viewer type — Modern or Classic? This will help us replicate the issue using similar configurations at our end. Additionally, could you confirm whether the issue occurs with text comments only, or with other types of annotations as well?

Regards,

Arvind
