Can't Insert Word Documents (or any other Office file) into a PDF. Can't open the doc I'm inserting

Windows 11 Pro (24H2 26100.3476)
Adobe Acrobat 25.1

To make sure it wasn't just happening with specific documents, I created a new test Word document and new test PDF document.

I then tested on a different Windows 11 system, same versions of software and OS...and it is happening there as well.

I then tried an Excel document...same thing.

It happens whether it is on my local machine or over the network from the server.

I'm not finding this exact issue when searching. So here I am.

Thanks guys, we figured it out. It has to do with using the 32bit version of MS Office because of some old Access databases we were using. We no longer need it so we switched to 64bit Office and that did the trick.

Do you try to insert documents as attachments or as new pages in the PDF?

Hi tricias60453888,

Thank you for reaching out with your question and sorry for the troubled experience.

If this is the first time you are trying, you may check this help page: https://adobe.ly/41ylKbb and refer to the section: "Add attachments to PDFs"

There is another way to attach files along with PDFs, that feature is called Portfolio, you can learn more about Portfolio here: https://adobe.ly/4iALlqN;

Let us know if you have further questions.
