Can't Install Adobe Acrobat 11

I lost the software on the older laptop (drive failed) and now can/t install it on the new laptop even though I have a valid ID number and the software was loaded  alright. The number doesn't give me a choice on the options menu for activation. It doesn't show Adobe Acrobat 11 Pro. What is going on .... very frustrating.

you have an upgrade serial number.

after entering your acrobat xi serial number you will be prompted to select the previous version you owned (eg, acrobat 9 or x).  after selecting the correct version you will enter that previous version's serial number.

enter the correct number at the correct time and installation will continue.

When you ask a question you need to provide some basic information

-Forum quick start https://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-5601

Mac or Windows, and EXACTLY which version of the operating system?

Recent Mac AND Windows operating systems have been known to cause "odd" problems

Are you using a computer Administrator account with full read/write permission?

Finally got it going. I needed to scroll further down the menu to find an old application I had used about 10 years ago and key in the installation code. I guess it was Adobe's check to make sure I was a user if their software. I hadn't seen this before.
