Question

Can't move a file without fully closing Acrobat Pro?

My team has a folder where we save documents for my supervisory review. I review the document, sign it and close it. Normally I then move the file from the "for review" folder to the monthly folder as needed. Today, I am getting an error when I try to move it that says that the file is open in Acrobat. If I fully close Acrobat, I can move the file. What can I do to change this back?

I have the same problem (Windows 11 and the latest version of Acrobat, january update). But this isn't a recent problem, it's been around for a long time.
The files are on the internal disk, not on the network.

The same problem occurs with InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.

I'm on a network file, same specs (Windows 11, and latest Acrobat). I recently turned off the prepare document for reading option and it seems to be better.

That's weird because when you close the file, it should not stay claimed by Acrobat. What is your version of Acrobat and what is your OS and version. I suppose the file sits on a network.

It is a file on the network. I'm on Acrobat Pro
