I bought the Adobe Standard license and had 7 day of free access. The 7 days have long past and I still have not been able to open any PDF files. What am I doing wrong?

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble.

I have checked your Adobe account and found an active plan for Acrobat Standard.  What happens when you try to open any PDF file? Do you get any error message? If yes, please share the screenshot of the same for more clarity and understanding.

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try to open a different PDF file and see if that works. Also, ensure that the Acrobat Application is updated to the latest version 25.01.20937. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Let us know how it goes.

Hello,

I am afraid my computer is in french, so this is my screen shot (actually,
it's a picture, as I was unable to take a screen shot).
It says: Do you want to authorize this application to bring modifications
to your computer?
Whether I click yes or no, nothing happens. I've tried with various PDF
documents and I am unable to open any of them.
I saw a few suggestions to other people saying they should go into the
Adobe properties and click the button that says "Execute the program as
administrator". I've tried that, but it didn't help.
What should I do now?

Hi there

Thanks for the details, this prompt is a standard Windows User Account Control (UAC) warning that indicates the Adobe application needs administrator privileges to make changes to your computer.

Please check the steps shared in the correct answer marked here https://adobe.ly/47ZsJyg and see if that works.
