Can't paste from Adobe Acrobat Pro DC

Question

Hi, this is a computer specific issue that applies to every/any pdf and I don't have this problem on my other devices. I can highlight and select text and either use Ctrl C or the copy function in Adobe but when I go to paste in any programme or internet address bar the paste function is not available.

Running Windows 10, fully up to date
Adobe Creative Cloud up to date
Have run a repair install on Acrobat DC

This must be a setting in my computer somewhere but no idea what or where to start. Any suggestions gratefully appreciated.

Does this happen with all files, or just some? Are you selecting text that might contain special characters, like line-breaks? Into what application are you pasting it, exactly?

I would start by doing the most simple test possible. Open a standard PDF file (for example, the one attached here), select a single word from it, copy it, then go to Notepad and paste it. Does that work? If no, there's something wrong with your installation of the application, yes.
