Can't print single interior page from PDF

I saved my tax return as a PDF using PDF995. I want to print one page from it. If I open the file in Acrobat Reader and move to that page, select current or enter the page number in "Pages", then Print, I get a page with the correct layout, but wrong characters throughout. If I print the selected page to PDF using PDF995, that new file opens and prints correctly. My LaserJet 400 has three drivers, PCL6, Postscript, and unlabeled. All the above was done using unlabeled. Windows 10. Should I be able to print the selected page out of the larger document?
