Can't print to pdf using acrobat 9 pro

I see lotsof issues, but none seem to be like the one I"m  having.  I installed CS5 Design Premium when I bought a new computer, Win 10, over a year ago. It was working fine and then all of a sudden it will not print to Adobe pdf. I also can't create a pdf from a file in the program. I tried to update the software, but I am getting an error message :  Cannot establish a connection. Please try again later. Error: 140000.

 

Anyone else come across this? How did you solve it?

Acrobat 9 is a very old version, not compatible with Windows 10 and not supported by Adobe. Problems with it are to be expected, I'm afraid. Make sure you update it to the latest version available (9.5.5) and run it in Compatibility Mode with an earlier OS (like Windows 7). That might help.
