Question

Can't restore deleted Draw tool

System: MAC

Acrobat Creative Cloud subscription

I accidentally deleted my DRAW tool on Acrobat DC, in the 'Add Tools" window and now I cannot restore it. I see draw commands in commenting, but I used to have a separate icon and toolbar (right panel).

I tried uninstalling Acrobat DC several times and used Dr. Cleaner Pro to try to find all files, but it keeps coming back without the tool.

If I could do a clean reinstall to original defaults it seems that would work, but I can't get it to do that. Is there a file somewhere in Creative cloud that keeps app preferences?

Thanks,

Tom

Hi Tom McClain,

Apologies for the delay in response, I hope you would be able to fix it by now.

If the problem still persists, we need some re information for a better understanding.

  • Could you please share the screenshot where you are not able to add the tool in the toolbar?
  • Have you used/created custom quick tool?

In the meantime you try the following steps:

  • Go to tools >Customise>Create Custom Tool.
  • Click on Add and then Open.
  • Under "choose tools to add" select comment.
  • Select tools to show in the toolbar and click on the upward arrow each time to show them in the toolbar.
  • One done click save and enter the name of the tool.
  • The tools will be added in the toolbar on the top with the same name.

Let us know if you need more help.

Regards,

Amal
