Can't save PDF attachment with it's original name

I received a PDF attachment with the file name "AMF_S12114" but when I click to open it, it opens up as "S/C1312". Can someone please tell me why is this happening?

This happened to 2 of the email attachments that I received but I have no trouble with other attachments.

Many thanks.

Hi John,

Yes, it was opened in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.

Thank you for the link and the PDF was generated from Microsoft Word 2019 and yes, the title of the file was the same name as when I open the PDF.

As I don't have the source file - i.e. Word file, I found that the only way to get around that is to save the attachment 1st, then open it, it then has the PDF file name.

Are you opening the PDF in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC?

Is the source file for your 2 email attachments coming from Microsoft Word? Does this discussion address your issue?
