Can't see notes accompanying blue caret symbol on iPad

Hi,

When I hover over the blue caret symbol in a PDF in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC on my desktop, an accompanying note is revealed. When I touch the blue caret symbol in the same PDF on my iPad in the Adobe Acrobat Pro DC app, I don't see the note.

On the iPad, when I touch the balloon symbol, the first choice on the pop up menu is "Open Note." I don't get any pop up menu when I touch the blue caret symbol.
