can't send pdf by email, link or otherwise - mac user with updated version

Question

I have been trying to send a pdf by email. None of the options are working (send via Adobe Reader or by an Adobe link, or as an attachment via attachment icon or by grabbing and dropping in body of email). In all cases, I get a Please Wait and the only troubleshooting option is download update, which is not relevant as I am working with the up-to-date version (and did restart computer after downloading that).

Please ensure that you have the latest version of Acrobat installed: 24.005.2039x Planned Update, Jan 23, 2025. To check for updates, go to Menu > Help > Check for Updates, install any available updates, then restart both the app and your machine. For more details, see the Release Notes.
