Can't transfer serial number to a new computer

I have deactivated the app on my old computer and then when I try to install Acrobat XI Pro on my new computer it asks me to register the serial number. 

When I enter the serial number it tells me "This serial number is already in use"

How do I get this app to my new computer?

If the deactivation on the old computer did not help, you may have to contact Adobe's support, to fix this for you. Make sure you didn't use the same serial on any another computer except the one you already have deactivated. Check the products in you Adobe Account https://account.adobe.com/products.

When I contacted support they said that version is no longer supported and to visit this community forum instead.

We can't help. Contact them again and ask for an "Activation count reset". Don't mention it's for Acrobat XI.

If they refuse to help ask to talk to a supervisor.
