Can't use the font literata in my pdf, already installed and added to the library

Question

I can't find the fond literata in adobe, I already added it to my library and installed on my workstation, but I can't find it in adobe acrobat when I edit pdf. Adobe acrobat would tell me that this font is not available, even a PDF file which already got literata font in it would not work.

OK. Which platform are you using your Adobe applications on?
Which format is your font? If it’s a Postscript font, those are no longer usable in Adobe applications, as they’ve been obsoleted.
How have you installed your font? Are you using any font managers to handle turning fonts on and off in your system?
Which Adobe application(s) are you using?
Can you use the font in any other applications?

Answers to these questions will help us help you get past your font issues.
