Hi Theresak,

Are you getting runtime error when trying to view pdfs in Acrobat or Reader? If yes, try following troubleshooting steps:

1- Open Adobe Reader or Acrobat from your desktop shortcut or start menu. If you receive the above error message, close it again and right click the icon.

2- Scroll down and select Properties.

3- Select the Compatibility tab.

4- Under Compatibility mode: select the Run this program in compatibility mode for: checkbox.

5- Select Windows XP from the list.

5- Click Apply OK and check.

Let us know if you need any help.

Thanks Shivam, I tried this but it didn't fix the issue, plus I'm windows 10, if that helps

Could you try launching Reader/ Acrobat as an administrator and check if that works: Run an Adobe program as administrator | Windows 7, Vista

Also, let us know the application you are using on the machine - Adobe Reader/ Adobe Acrobat?
