Question

Cancellation charges

To anyone taking out an Adobe purchase, WATCH OUT for the cancellation charges which means you are paying full price for a product you no longer have access to or you wait for the window to cancel before the cycle starts again.

I miss the days of buying a product and having it permanently on your computer for a reasonable price instead of this constant renting but never owning.

You only pay a cancellation fee when you're cancelling a yearly subscription, which is heavily discounted based on your commitment, compared to the monthly version. If you cancel it halfway through you're asked to pay the difference between what you actually paid and the true cost of a monthly subscription. This is all explained when you subscribe, by the way.

In some cases, however, Adobe forgives that fee, especially if the subscription is very new.

At any rate, to deal with such issues you need to contact Adobe directly. We can't help.

This is a public forum, not Adobe support. Users, including the Community Experts, can't provide support for account, subscription, billing, download, or product activation issues. Support for those issues requires an Adobe employee.
Adobe provides support through the Chat function on the contact page, through a phone call, or through Twitter.
There is no email support, so beware of scammers.

You can still order a perpetual licenses from the Cumulative Licensing Program (CLP) via phone.

Btw. you still don't OWN Adobe's software, even with the perpetual license.
