Cancellation Fee/Refund

I went to cancel my account two weeks ago to ensure that the money wasnt taken out of my account, however, I didnt realise you had to log back in to finalise the cancellation. I was only aware of this until I noticed the money had come out of my account yesterday. I was also unaware that a cancellation fee had to be paid outside of 14 days after the free trial. I am hoping I will be able to get a refund for the month that has just been taken out of my account due to having to pay the cancellation fee which I was completely unaware of.
