Cannot activate or register X Pro on new computer - need prior qualifying product?

I deactivated Acrobat X Pro on my old computer, and have the serial number, but when I enter it to activate on my new computer I am supposed to have a prior qualifying product which is either 7 Pro, 8 Pro or 9.  I used this version of X Pro with this serial number on my prior computer.  I cannot use it or register it on the new one. HELP

your x serial number is for an upgrade.  that means you must have a serial number for 7,8 or ix.

when installing enter your x serial number and then select the qualifying product and enter its (7,8 or ix) serial number.

enter the correct number at the correct time and installation will proceed.
