Cannot add comment on PDF

Hi,
I am working with a protected PDF where we are supposed to be able to add comment specifically with your app.
When I open the PDF on my computer I can comment and everything works fine.
When I open the PDF with your app on my iPad Air (4th generation) it says I cannot add comment because the pdf is in “read only”.
I tried contacting the creator of the PDF and to their knowledge, the document works fine with iPads when adding comment through your app.
Could you please help me understand how to study with this electronic book on my iPad.

On the iPad use a unprotected document.

I wish I could but it is an ebook I bought for my studies and it is the only way I can have it. The creator told me that the comment tool works fine on the document on iPad. So the protection is not the issue.

May be that the creator use a other app on the iPad.

Hi,

can you confirm if the pdf is opened from a cloud storage (shared, your own Adobe Cloud, or something else) or if it is saved on your iPad in the files folder?

Hi,
I tried all options: Saved on my iPad, from my OneDrive and from the Acrobat Cloud, never works.
