CANNOT ADD LEGIBLE TEXT TO A PDF

Hi, can anyone tell me why I can no longer add text when editing a pdf?

Whenever I paste text or type text it automatically changes the font from a legible one like minon pro or Ariel  to computer garbage...text format  Z@RC078.tmp.  I can't stop it from doing this!

Suggestions please! thank you

Try to revert to the Classic UI: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/acrobat-2023-how-to-revert-to-classic-gui-user-interface/td-p/14052807
Consider the "new Acrobat" as a beta version, many features are still missing or half-implemented.

Thank you yes this worked but it's a shame to have to revert back to the Classic now I'm used to the new..... It seems like a fundamental mistake that should not have happened but I'm no programmer lol cheers!
