Using Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox on a Windows 7. Happening with every and any PDF file (scanned files).

modify the chrome extension, or even go into the advanced site settings of chrome and then go to privacy and security---sitesettings---pdf---and toggle it to say default behaviour "download PDFs' -- done.

disable your PDF extension -- done

go to Privacy and Security in chrome settings, go to Permissions, then for Automatic Downloads, click ASK -- done.

Still having problems, cannot attach files.

I cannot attach Adobe PDF files in Yahoo mail. It gives ! mark.

@glenda08854 I use yahoo email all the time, and I have no issues on either on a MAC or PC (Windows 11). I am now wondering if it’s because you are on Windows 7?

Try this: With your PDF, right-click it, and compress th PDF into a zip file. Then attach the Zip file in the email. Send it off. On the other end, they just need to unzip it, and the PDF should open with no issues. It’s a slight work around, but this will get around th Windows 7 issue? I am only guessing but Chrome, Firefox and Yahoo Email are no longer configuring for older Windows OS such as 7 and is configuring for new OS such as 10 and 11

    Hi skenney,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue.

Could you please confirm whether the issue occurs only with PDF files? If so, how are these files created? Would you also mind sharing a sample PDF with us for our review? It appears to be a file-specific issue, and we will need to examine the files to confirm this.

Let us know if you have any questions or need help.

    Thanks,

    Meenakshi

Since you've already tried the usual Chrome settings, it doesn't sound like the browser is the issue. You should try downloading the PDF to a different folder and attaching it again, or rename the file before uploading. If every scanned PDF fails but other file types work, it could be something with the PDF itself or how Yahoo Mail is handling the upload. Testing in another browser or on another PC would help narrow it down.

Having same problem for days now… Prepared email template for MailChimp, with which I’ve never had ANY problems. Client’s MC account is with a yahoo.com address. Now I cannot save the newest email to be sent out… have tried everything.  All I want is to save the latest email (which was sent to me as a .pdf) by my client ...and convert it to .jpg or .png….. nothing works. I’ve gone crazy trying to find a workable address,...keep getting advice to “blob”… and other variations...mall of which I can’t copy it to my Mail Chimp account. I’ve even had an hour session with AI…. no help. AI just kept sending me back and forth with it’s usual answers. Have tried working through Adobe….Adobe Express and Photoshop, even NOTHING works
