Cannot Click Into Form Fields

Question

Something isn't working right with my Adobe Acrobat Standard (v 2024.002.20687).

When I try to enter data into the form fields, it does not allow me to. When I click, it's acting like I'm selecting the form field when I'm NOT in the Prepare a Form Tool. I have to tab or shift+tab to get to where I can type into the fields.

This is extremely annoying to say the least. Whatever is causing this issue also has a hover text with a click (and no, I don't mean a right-click) with a grayed out text box icon and an icon to send the form for signature. It appears, in an effort to make sending documents with form fields easier, they have removed some core functionality of actually being able to enter text into the form field (without tabbing & shift+tabbing back in).

Is there a way to fix this?

Thank you for your patience so far.

The issue has been resolved. Please reboot the machine and then relaunch Acrobat.

Then, wait for some time and try to fill out the forms again.
