Cannot edit form field properties on Acrobat

So I have prepared some fillable forms X months ago and now I want to make some changes to the fillable fields. Usually I just click Prepare a Form and then double click on the fillable field to view and edit the properties of that field, however that doesn't do anything. I cannot move, resize, or view the properties of the fillable field. Please help 😞
