Cannot fill and sign a fillable form

Is there a way to use "fill and sign" when using a fillable PDF? I want to avoid having to fill in the form and print it, to then sign it and re-scan it. When I click fill and sign I get the message "You have opened a fillable PDF form. This form does not let you drag and drop saved information". Is there a way around this?

The form having existing fields does not mean that you can't sign with Fill & Sign - the message is telling you that you cannot drag/drop data from the right hand panel and you cannot add text fields or annotations (check mark, radio button, line).  If the "Sign" button is greyed out and not clickable it is due to security restrictions in the PDF and not simply having existing fields.  You should be able to sign a basic un-secured Acroform with Fill & Sign

Thanks,

Josh

I have a similar issue.  I want to use both form fields and have the ability to use the fill and sign to add text in other areas.  Is this possible?

PDF files can be made with form fields. The operative word is "can"! Some users do not add form fields to the PDF and then one needs to use Fill and Sign app or the fill and sign feature of Acrobat or Reader.

Okay I get that but, is there a way to sign a fillable pdf then if I can't use "fill and sign"

With a PC or Mac you can create a digital certificate and sign the entire PDF using the digital certificate. This will not be available for mobile devices. Adobe may even offer digital signing services.
