Cannot find or create the font ...

Adobe Acrobat : Acrobat Pro

Continuous Release | Version 2025.001.21184 | 64-bit

PDF Documents that are scanned, give this error upon opening in PDF reader. 

“Cannot find or create the font TimesNewRomanPSMT. Some characters may not display or print correctly”

We have tried all the solutions that are provided in the forum for this issue. 

We have also un-installed Adobe, rebooted, re-installed the latest version. Updated Windows to the latest patch there is. Also updated the local machine updates via manufacturer (HP-HP Support Assistant, Dell-Dell Command Update, Lenovo-Lenovo System Update).

So far none of the solutions seem to work. 

It looks like a repetitive problem but no older solutions seem to resolve it. 

Any help will be appreciated.
