Question

Cannot open large PDF files with Adobe

I am recieveing the following error whenever I try to open a large PDF file (over 35,000 kb) with Adobe Pro: "There was an error opening this document. The file size exceeds the limit allowed and cannot be saved." I have uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Pro and purchased a new computer, but still get the same error. Our office uses OneDrive and other people are able to open the same files with Adobe on their computers. What can I try next? Thanks.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Hi @kurt_4886

Sorry for the troubled experience, and thanks for reaching out.

This is a strange behavior. How was the file created? If you open the same file in Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge, does it open normally?

Is it possible for you to share the file with us?

If you can't share the file publicly, upload files to any cloud drive and share the link via private message. To send a private message, click on the envelope icon in the top right corner.
